01 / THE JOB
Who it was for.
Equipment Hub lets suppliers, sellers, and buyers trade heavy equipment across Africa. The public site and the mobile app (Android and iOS) share one job: list a machine, find a machine, and get the deal moving. The product also has three portals.
The client is Equipment Africa. PED worked on the custom application, the product design, the public website, and the mobile app.
02 / THE CHALLENGE
What the job asked for.
A marketplace has more than one side. Suppliers, sellers, and buyers each need their own way in, and all of them share one job: list a machine, find a machine, and get the deal moving.
Heavy equipment is bought across Africa, so the same product has to work on a desktop browser and in a pocket, on Android and on iOS.

WEB / PUBLIC SITE
The front door
The public site opens on “Smart Procurement, Simple Process.” Behind the homepage is the catalogue: a grid of machinery listings that a buyer can scan.

WEB / LISTING
List a machine, find a machine
The listing form is how a machine gets onto the marketplace. The other board puts a machine page beside an admin screen.

Three portals behind it
The product also has three portals. The Buyer Marketplace lets buyers buy, connect with sellers and take part in auctions. The other portals are not described on this page, and their screens are not in this set of pictures.

The mobile app, for Android and iOS, carries the same marketplace: browse a machine, ask for a quote, read an auction update, keep a receipt, and move around through the app menu.
