Custom Software Development Cost in Accra and Ghana (2026)

Custom software development cost in Ghana and Accra in 2026: published agency prices for web apps, CRMs and ERPs, MTN MoMo integration, and what drives a quote.

Stacks of paperwork beside a tablet and a laptop.

Custom software development in Accra starts at around GHS 8,000–15,000 for a focused web application, according to Ghanaian studios that publish prices. CRMs are listed from about GHS 10,000–12,000 and modular ERPs from about GHS 25,000. Multi-branch platforms with integrations are usually quoted after discovery, and USD-priced firms quote considerably more. Treat all of these as floors.

This guide is for owners, operations leads and finance teams in Accra, Tema and Kumasi who need a realistic budget before they talk to a studio. It collects what Ghanaian firms publish on their own pricing pages, explains what moves a quote, and shows how PED Solution Studios prices. PED does not publish a software price, so none of the figures below is a PED quote.

Published custom software prices in Ghana (October 2026)

We checked each source on 18 October 2026.

Source (own website) What they publish
Devarps, Accra (devarps.com) A straightforward web application or business management tool “typically starts from GHS 8,000–25,000”; complex SaaS, ERP and payment-integrated systems are scoped
Doctor Barns Tech, Accra (doctorbarns.com) Custom web application from GHS 15,000; custom CRM from GHS 10,000; SaaS platform from GHS 30,000
KayTech Africa, Accra (kaytechafrica.com) ERP systems from GHS 25,000; CRM development from GHS 12,000; payment integration from GHS 3,000
Pinuno (pinuno.com.gh article) Custom web application with database, accounts, payments and admin GHS 10,000–30,000; enterprise-grade applications GHS 30,000+
Bluevels, Accra (bluevels.com/pricing) “Starter System” from GHS 3,500 (core modules, single organisation); “Growth System” from GHS 7,000 (multi-module, roles, payment integrations); enterprise custom quote
RaveSoft (ravesoftsolutions.com), priced in USD Simple internal tool US$1,500–4,000; mid-size system (for example inventory plus sales dashboard) US$4,000–12,000; full-scale multi-branch platform US$12,000–50,000+; fully custom ERP US$20,000–100,000+
Yiwsama Technologies, Madina, Accra (yiwsama-technologies.com), priced in USD Discovery and consultancy US$500 fixed; hourly support US$35

What the sources agree on: a small, single-purpose web system can be built for low five figures in cedis. Multiple modules, roles, branches and integrations take prices up quickly, and serious ERP or multi-branch work is quoted only after discovery.

Where they disagree: entry prices range from GHS 3,500 to GHS 15,000 for something each firm calls a starter system. The difference is what “starter” includes: testing, training, support period, hosting and how much is configured rather than built.

Our caveat: most Ghanaian studios do not publish software prices, so this is a small sample. Use it to sanity-check a quote, not to set one.

What drives the cost of custom software in Accra

  1. The number of workflows in version one. One desk (for example dispatch or stock) costs far less than five departments at once.
  2. Users, roles and branches. Permissions for cashiers, managers and head office, across Accra and Kumasi branches, multiply the testing.
  3. Integrations. MTN MoMo and other wallets, SMS, accounting packages, existing databases, hardware such as scanners or scales. KayTech lists payment integration alone from GHS 3,000.
  4. Mobile apps for the field. A web desk plus Android apps for riders or warehouse staff is several products sharing one backend.
  5. Data migration. Moving years of spreadsheets cleanly is its own job.
  6. Reporting. Finance-grade reports and audit trails take longer than a dashboard of charts.
  7. Compliance. Personal data under Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) means access rules and audit logs from the start.
  8. Support and training. Who answers after launch, how fast, and for how long.

Costs to budget beyond the build

  • Discovery. A short paid scoping phase that produces a plan you could take to any team. Yiwsama, for example, publishes a fixed US$500 discovery.
  • Hosting and backups, every month.
  • SMS, email and payment fees, per use.
  • Maintenance and changes. Software that runs a business changes as the business changes. Budget a yearly line for it.
  • Your team’s time. The people who do the work today must help test. A project without their time usually fails.

Custom or packaged: check before you budget

Packaged tools (POS, accounting, HR, school and hospital systems) cost a monthly subscription and are often the right answer. Custom software pays off when the workflow is unique and frequent, when integrations are the product, or when you need roles and an audit trail no package gives you. We set out that fork in custom software vs ready-made tools in Ghana.

How PED Solution Studios prices custom software

PED does not publish a software price. Custom software and apps and operations software and custom ERP are scoped per project after a call. The price is set once the first version is cut:

  • Who uses it? The people, their phones, their connection.
  • What must it do on day one? The few jobs that make it worth opening.
  • What can wait? Written down, so it is a decision and not a loss.
  • Where does it live? Web, Android, and iOS if the job needs it.

Hosting, source code and ownership are agreed in the scope, not assumed. Where the system takes payments, PED has integrated Hubtel and PaySwitch for mobile money (MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash and AT Money), PayPal for card and international payments, and Stripe for foreign companies taking foreign payments. For the scale of system this covers, see BYOB, a commerce and logistics platform we built, with dispatch and warehouse portals and Android apps for field staff.

The only fixed prices PED publishes are for websites: a business website from GH₵4,499 including domain and hosting, about 1 to 10 pages, which you can edit yourself.

How to get an honest quote in Accra

  • Bring the spreadsheet or WhatsApp group the system will replace. That is the real brief.
  • Ask for a first production milestone, not a 40-page plan.
  • Ask what is not included: hosting, SMS, support, training, migration.
  • Ask for launch cost and year-one cost as separate numbers.
  • Get code, hosting and account ownership in writing.
  • Be wary of a fixed price given before anyone has watched the work being done.

Frequently asked questions

How much does custom software cost in Accra?

Ghanaian studios that publish prices start focused web applications at about GHS 8,000–15,000, CRMs at about GHS 10,000–12,000 and modular ERPs at about GHS 25,000. Multi-branch systems with integrations are quoted after discovery.

Why do custom software quotes vary so much in Ghana?

Firms define “starter” differently, and the number of workflows, roles, branches, integrations and support all change the price. Some firms quote in US dollars. Compare scope line by line before comparing totals.

Is custom software cheaper than a subscription?

Not on day one. A subscription is usually cheaper at the start. Custom can cost less over several years when you would otherwise pay for several tools, workarounds and per-user fees that still do not fit your process.

Does PED Solution Studios publish software prices?

No. PED scopes custom and operations software per project after a call. Its only fixed published prices are for websites, from GH₵4,499.

What should a custom software quote include?

A written first version, what is excluded, a timeline agreed with you, hosting and support terms, data migration, training, and who owns the code and accounts.
